Vegetarian and Vegans now account for nearly 10% of Canadian population. This increased presence is driving the restaurant industry to increase their menu offering and look for alternative meat free concepts. Interestingly, the majority of this population are under the age of 35 meaning the increase in vegetarian ranks will likely only ramp up as todays vegetarians become a bigger part of society.
